The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is pleased to hold its 9th Annual K-12 Workshop on Engineering Education, “Employing Engineering for STEM Learning”, presented by Dassault Systemes, this June 9, 2012, at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
This day-long program for teachers and engineering educators from Texas and across the country will provide an energizing, interactive overview of successful engineering education instruction for the K-12 classroom. Attendees will discover innovative best practices, new contacts for collaboration and outreach, and the latest take-away tools for engineering education.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
– Workshop Proposals are currently being sought. Submission deadline is Friday, January 27, 2012 by 5PM EST.

– Individual workshops should prominently feature hands-on classroom activities, provide take-home or classroom-ready materials, and be designed to engage participants in interactive exercises.
– Workshops that offer tangible materials to attendees, in addition to written material, are specifically solicited.
– Proposals addressing 1) elementary/primary grades and 2) demonstrated methods for involving practicing engineers and engineering students in the classroom are also highly sought.
