This session will host a K-12 engineering best-practice panel, with teachers and their university partners.

Think Outside of the Box! K-12 Engineering Curricula showcase (#2667)

Tuesday, June 22, 4:300-6:00pm, Exhibit Hall 2C & 2D

This poster session presents a variety of innovative efforts focused on the K-12 engineering education curriculum. Presenters will showcase their curricular materials and present their use in K-12 classrooms.

Joint reception with WIED and MIND (#1769)

Monday, June 21, 6:30-8:00pm at the Convention Center Dockside Lobby

Reception for members of the Women in Engineering Division (WIED), Minorities in Engineering Division (MIND),
and K-12 Engineering and Pre-College Outreach Division.

Systems thinking and K-12 (joint session with SECC) (#2287)

Tuesday, June 22, 8:30-10:15am, Room L10

This panel will address the opportunities and challenges of integrating systems thinking into K-12 education to support STEM initiatives.  Panel discussion will center around how systems thinking relates to critical thinking; STEM; complex systems understanding; cognitive maturity; best practices in systems pedagogy; and integration into K-12 curricula.
