Dear Pre-College Engineering Education (PCEE) Division Members,
The bylaws draft, discussed in previous newsletters and posted on our website, passed unanimously at our Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, June 28. I forwarded the draft on to our PIC IV Chair, Teri Reed, to be reviewed at a future ASEE Board meeting.
We had a productive and interesting K12 Workshop and Annual Conference in New Orleans! Thanks to all who put in work to organize those events. Thanks, too, to all who presented and reviewed. Information for the call for abstracts for the 2017 conference will be coming soon.
Our 2016 and 2017 Annual Conferences are the bookends for the “Commit to P12: When Engineering Begins” year of focus on pre-college engineering education. I’ll be reaching out to you throughout the year regarding special events related to this effort.
Please check out our new website: precollege.asee.org. It’s still under construction, but has undergone considerable improvement!
Announcements are below. Reminder: please feel free to pass along newsletter items – in short paragraph form – for me to share with the division.
